Chicago Blackhawks fans showed why they are the best fans in the world as they rolled up their sleeves and donated nearly 600 lifesaving units of blood at the Dec. 30 Blackhawks blood drive at the Westin Hotel in Rosemont. This is the largest single blood drive ever held by LifeSource.
Blackhawks players Dave Bolland, Troy Brouwer, Adam Burish and Jordan Hendry stopped by to thank the blood donors. Even Tommy Hawk joined in the fun.
The spirit and giving nature of the Blackhawks fans will save more than 1,800 lives right here in our community, as each donation can save up to three lives.
