Enter the Marrow Registry at the June drive
Thousands of patients with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases depend on the Be The Match Registry to find a match to save their life. Registering for marrow consists of a simple cheek swab. If you're ever found to be a match the process of donating can be similar to donating blood platelets.

TOMMY HAWK will be making an appearance. Ernestine from Chicago danced with Tommy Hawk at the last blood drive.

Blood Donors
Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. There is no upper age limit and most medications are accepted. The donation process takes about an hour and is both safe and comfortable.

Bone Marrow Registry
To enter the Be the Match Registry requires a simple mouth swab to determine tissue type and completion of a brief questionnaire. Donors must be between the ages of 18 – 60 years old and sign a form consenting to have your tissue type listed on the Registry until your 61st birthday.

Rules

Promotion is for the Chicago Blackhawks Blood Drive and Marrow Registry on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Westin O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont.  All participating blood donors at this drive are eligible to enter a random drawing to win one of 10 pairs of passes to the Blackhawks convention Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 20, 21 and 22, 2012; one convention package including a pair of passes plus a two-night stay at the Hilton Chicago (incidentals additional); or autographed memorabilia.  All participating donors that register in advance online at www.lifesource.org or by calling 877-LIFESOURCE are eligible to enter a random drawing to win an autographed Blackhawks jersey.  One entry per person.  Winners will be notified the week of July 2, 2012. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and not redeemable for cash. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter.  Appearance personalities, dates and times are subject to change.  ITxM employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
